Here's the timeline: book your trial tan 4-6 weeks before the wedding, and schedule your final tan 2 days before the big day. That's the formula. The trial locks in your exact shade with time to adjust, and the two-day buffer means your first rinse is done, your color is at its peak, and nothing transfers onto the dress. The trial is a full tan, done exactly like your wedding tan will be. Live in it for the whole 7-10 days and pay attention: How does it photograph in daylight and indoors? How does it look against white? Does it read too subtle by day three, or deeper than you pictured?
Then tell us honestly. Because every Soleil tan is custom-blended on the spot, adjusting is easy: half a shade warmer, a touch lighter on the face, deeper on the legs. This is the entire point of the trial, and it's why brides who do one never have a wedding-morning surprise. If your engagement photos or bridal portraits land in this window, schedule the trial two days before them and get double duty out of it.
Fresh skin is what makes a tan flawless, so spend the week before your final tan gently exfoliating every shower, focusing on elbows, knees, ankles, and hands. Get any waxing done at least 48 hours before your tan and your final shave in at least 12 hours before. Book manicures, pedicures, facials, and lash appointments before the tan, not after. For a Saturday wedding, that's Thursday. Arrive with clean, product-free skin: no lotion, no deodorant, no makeup, no perfume. By Friday your color is fully developed and settled, which means Saturday you're at absolute peak: even, warm, and completely transfer-safe for the dress.
Why not the day before? A Friday tan works, but it leaves zero margin, and your first rinse can crowd the rehearsal dinner. Two days is the professional standard for a reason.
Nothing flattens wedding photos like one glowing bride next to a mismatched lineup. Put the whole party on the same schedule: everyone tans 2 days out, either as back-to-back appointments or a group booking.
