Why Rapid Rinse
A traditional spray tan means 8 to 12 hours in cosmetic bronzer: sleeping in it, ruining sheets, dodging your white couch. A rapid rinse tan cuts the wait to 4-8 hours. You get sprayed, go about your day, take a quick water-only rinse that evening, and the color keeps developing underneath - clean skin, full glow.
The Classic Rapid Rinse ($50, full body) is our most-booked service for exactly that reason: it fits between school pickup and dinner. Appointments take 20-30 minutes, and students get the same tan for $45 with ID. Need just legs or just top half? The half body option is $35.
One more thing worth knowing: the Royal Collection solution we use is also organic-based - read about our organic spray tan for the full ingredients story. This page is about the timing; that one covers what is actually in the bottle.
Timing Is Everything
Your first rinse is a dial, not a deadline. Rinse at the 4 hour mark and you land on a lighter, sun-kissed glow. Wait the full 8 hours and the solution develops noticeably deeper. Your artist will tell you exactly when to rinse based on your blend and the depth you asked for in your consult - and if you want maximum darkness from the start, ask about the Luxe Ultra Dark custom tan.
The first rinse itself is simple: lukewarm water only, no soap, no scrubbing, pat dry. We wrote up the exact playbook in when to shower after a rapid rinse tan.
Event-Day Math
Rapid rinse was made for event logistics. Game day at a morning tailgate, a Saturday wedding, prom photos at 5 pm - the old overnight-develop window made all of those a scramble. With rapid rinse, a morning appointment the day before means you rinse that evening and wake up event-ready, with zero bronzer transferring onto a white dress.
Our rule of thumb: book 1-2 days out. That leaves time for color to settle and gives you a buffer if life happens. Clients make the quick trip from Edmond, Nichols Hills, and The Village because a 20-30 minute appointment at Casady Square is faster than most lunch runs. Before you come in, skim the prep and aftercare guide - showing up exfoliated and lotion-free is half the result. And if you are comparing options first, every tan we offer is on the services page and pricing page.
Good to Know
As soon as 4 hours after your appointment, and no later than 8. The first rinse is water only: lukewarm, quick, pat dry, no soap or scrubbing. Your color keeps developing for a few hours after that first rinse.
Yes, slightly. Rinsing at the 4 hour mark gives a softer, more sun-kissed result; waiting the full 8 hours lets the solution develop deeper color. Tell your artist the look you want and they will give you an exact rinse time for your blend.
One to two days before the event is the sweet spot. A morning appointment the day before means you rinse that evening and wake up with fully developed color, zero bronzer on your sheets or your dress.
The Classic Rapid Rinse full body tan is $50. Students pay $45 with a student ID, and a half body application (waist-up or waist-down) is $35. Appointments take 20-30 minutes.
